That is my experience of building for source :( I'd hoped that patches
wouldn't change too much between 2.6 versions.

FWIW, my now deceased I8100 and my curent thinkpad both work better with
ACPI disabled. ACPI messes with the ipw chipset, and burns a load more
power when suspended. YMMV.
