What do you mean by 'not working'?

I don't see anything wrong with what you're doing. It's how I got up and 
running.

Do you use Qjackctl? Having disabled any sound system in Gnome or KDE, 
you should run qjackctl before you start any audio applications. If you 
can start qjackctl, and you've booted into the planetccrma kernel-rt, 
you should be able to get started.
