I use an ICP Vortex SCSI RAID controler. To relieve
the cost of SCSI HDDs I've been running SCSI2IDE
bridges. This brings the price into the range of IDE
devices, functionality of hardware raid and
performance is perfectly acceptable.

I purchased the ICP before 3ware and those products
were on the market. Costs will influence any decisions
I make in the future.
