[PlanetCCRMA] Fresh install of FC4 on my laptop - No sound

Hi all.

I've just finished installing a fresh copy of FC4 on my laptop.  It's an
ASUS M5N and it has a built-in intel AC97 audio.  I've read that the
latest ALSA drivers have an issue with the AC97 audio.  I've also read
that a fix for this problem is to install the CVS version of alsa.  My
problem is that I have no idea of how to do this.  Can anyone point me
in the right direction?
