[PlanetCCRMA] planetedge: alsa-* 1.0.8 for fc3

I just released test packages for Fedora Core 3 of ALSA 1.0.8 final. The
packages are for now available from the Fedora Core 3 planetedge
repository. The kernel module packages are available for the latest
kernels only (ie: 2.6.10-0.1.rdt and 2.6.10-2.1.ll). Let me know if you
need or want to test with previous Fedora Core 3 kernels. To be able to
access the Fedora Core 3 planetedge repository you need to edit
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/planetccrma.list. Add this line to the file (and
comment it out when you are done installing the stuff):

rpm http://ccrma.stanford.edu/planetccrma/apt fedora/3/i386 planetedge

To install just do an "apt-get update" "apt-get dist-upgrade", or
explicitly install planetccrma-core or planetccrma-core-edge (depending
on what you already have installed).

Feedback would be appreciated (once I get enough feedback I'll move the
packages to the normal planetcore repository)....

I have not been able to test this (save for my laptop and another
desktop with an onboard card). I assume that the envy24control issue is
fixed, plus there are now drivers included for the Echo cards. The
firmware should now be automatically handled by hotplug but I have had
no chance to test whether that works (the firmware is installed in the
right directory, which is different in fc3).

Enjoy, that is, if you can!
