Hi all:
Thanks to Pierre's work in the thread snd-intel8x0 loaded but no sound
on FC3
<http://ccrma-mail.stanford.edu/pipermail/planetccrma/2005-March/008464.html>
I was able to work my way out of the same woes that he was
experiencing. But I still have the modem's speaker (snd_intel8x0m)
loading and blocking my sound card. I can _rmmod snd_intel8x0m_ and then
with KDE's _Soundcard Detection_ thingy get my sound card going. But how
can I get rid of the modem sound thing for ever and get my sound card
going when I boot?
I also want to add that the sound on my computer was working fine (alsa,
jack et al.) after installing FC3, Planet CCRMA
2.6.11-0.3.rdt.rhfc3.ccrma, but stopped working after loading the driver
PWC for my USB Phillips webcam.
Thanks: Brad
