OK, judging from your '/dev/sequecer' presumed you were an user of the oss
stuff.
in this case you might be lucky: try the amidi utility:
"amidi -l" will list all your hardware ports
"amidi -p hw:0,0 -s file.syx" will send the file to your first port on your
first card (use the amidi -l)
