You should create one manually. I don't think that actually installing
SFDB [Sound File Data Base] is necessary [yet...future versions of
Ardour may have it better implemented]. But you might want to look at
the docs for SFDB to see what a proper .sfdb file looks like.

I am having the same problem with SFDB on ardour, i hadnt tried manually
creating the file, good to see that sorta works i'll have to give it a
shot.

I downloaded it, still having trouble getting it all installed/working
correctly. IF anyone has had this problem like danni and i have and
know how to correct it, i'd appreciate the post.
