[PlanetCCRMA] Compiling GEM - glm issue w/ RH8.0?

Hi All,

I'm trying to rebuild GEM from src.rpms having tweaked the source to include
a couple of minor bugfixes proposed by Gunter Geiger here:

When I rpmbuild it, there are loads of parse errors etc as glm is compiled,
then eventually it fails with "library glm not available - try makeauxlibs".
Could it be a compatibility problem with the RedHat 8.0 version of gcc? Has
anyone else managed to build the gem package on RH8?
