why build sbcl? you can download a binary release of sbcl an install  
it in minutes
you can download an SBCL binary distribution from the SBCL platform  
support page:
http://sbcl.sourceforge.net/platform-table.html

Note: for Intel/OSX Tiger download SBCL 1.0.10.
