Ive put the materials for the "Spectral Composition and Algorithmic
Design" workshop I gave at ICMC two weeks ago on Pinhead for anyone
interested:

	http://pinhead.music.uiuc.edu/~hkt/spectral-workshop-icmc-2005.tar.gz

A description of this workshop is still on the icmc2005 website:

	http://www.icmc2005.org/index.php?selectedPage=120

The tarball includes both a Powerpoint and a PDF version of the
overheads.

The workshop gave a practical intro to composing with spectral data
using free programs. The overheads discuss two remarkable, new software
projects: SPEAR, by Michael Klingbeil ( http://www.klingbeil.com/spear
) and FOMUS, by David Psenicka ( http://common-lisp.net/project/fomus/
) . Several of the examples show how to get SPEAR data into CM. All the
music notation examples in the presentations are unedited output of
fomus->lilypond. Sources for most if not all the examples are in the
sources/ subdir (i have not tested it)

enjoy!
