Yes, thanks for reporting this. Ive made the fix to the CVS source. 
either download cm.scm again or make the following change to your 
current cm.scm:

change the line:
       (orig (string-append cm-directory "src/cminit.lisp")))
to:
       (orig (string-append cm-directory "etc/cminit.lisp")))
