[Stk] ALSA MIDI port names?

Hello everyone,
Is there a standard way of mapping ALSA MIDI ports with port numbers
as in stk/RtMidi.h?

Right now, I am reinventing the wheel, it seems!

I want my users to use ALSA MIDI ports on GNU/Linux, as it is the
de-facto standard of choosing MIDI ports.
Also, it should be the same on other OSes and MIDI backend. (such as JACK)
