[Stk] clicks on mac os x

Has anyone fixed the problem of digital pops when using the stk on mac 
os x?  They occur when running  code which uses one of the real time io 
classes.  I have tried increasing the buffer size but this only helps a 
bit.  The amount of clicks increases dramatically when the processor 
load increases because of switching between applications, moving 
windows, or other running applications.  Thanks for your help.
