In case you haven't encountered this...  After seeing scriplet
failures on a number of install and upgrade attempts after the kernel
one above, I did some Googl'ing and found that they were due to an
errant SELinux policy update:

Thankfully it's been fixed, but I had to re-install all the packages
that I had done during that period -- while most of these failures
were marked as non-fatal, it seems the scriptlets were not running, so
the installations were damaged to varying degrees.

So the good news is that it had nothing at all to do with the kernel
packaging. :)
