[PlanetCCRMA] vlc & jack problem

I recently updated to the latest planet (fedora20 x86_64 version). things are 
working well in general but I lost the ability to link vlc and pulseaudio to 
jack. I have vlc-jack and pa-jack plugins installed which in the previous 
version (Fedora17 i386) it means I could route audio from vlc or web (PA) 
through Jack. This no longer works they don't show up as devices to connect. 
Any ideas how to track the problem?
