For fc16 you can enable the planetcore-testing repository (install the
planetccrma-repo-testing package), in that one you will find newer 
versions of 3.2.x with the rt patches.

Do you have any problems you can directly blame on the kernel?

Hmmm, ardour3 was never in the Planet CCRMA repos, Paul Davis does not 
want it packaged (yet).

Any particular symptoms for the qtractor crashes? I'm not a qtractor 
user so I can't really help much...
