That's been the problem all along: the "interface" field has always been set
to "(Default)" and
greyed-out so i can't change it. This leaves only the "input channels" and
"output channels" that allow setting which card you're talking to, including
setting up nonsense parameters that don't work.

Any suggestions on having it let me at the other interfaces, of which there
are many:
