[PlanetCCRMA] Jack problem / system hangs...

I also encountered very strange behaviour from jack with firewire on 
recent plannet kernel:
I couldn't get jack to work with firewire soundcard (focusrite) at all on 
the latest version. It worked on the previous one for a while but after 
taking a break I couldn't get jack to start again (in the exact same 
configuration). I tried restarting (hot and cold) I tried connecting 
soundcard before I boot or after I boot. and various other attempts but 
couldn't get jack to start. I only managed to continue working by going to 
an even older ccrma kernel. 
Sorry I don't have the specifics at this point (I'm away from my linux at 
the moment). I hope I'll be able to return to this next week and try to 
recreate the incident.
