Thanks Simone,

That didn't help, I get the same error which doesn't seem to be
related to permissions (I had a permissions error before that was
solved by adding some permission definitions that now seem to be
handled by the file /etc/security/console.perms.d/60-raw1394.perms). I
remember getting this kind of error with the new Juju stack before
Ferando released the de-jujued libraw1394.
