[PlanetCCRMA] F7 ccrmart kernel & madwifi (issues with 'scp')

I'm running an up-to-date F7 box with the ccrmart kernel. I rebuilt the
livna srpms for madwifi & madwifi-kmod (slightly modified spec file to
build & install cleanly) to get wifi working. Using the latest stock F7
kernel, everything works fine. Using the ccrmart kernel the system
completely hard-locks when I attempt to use 'scp', either from another
system or from the ccrma system. Strangely enough, NFS and ssh work
fine, so far it's strictly the 'scp' command. There's nothing in the
logs that indicates what's happening, and it happens almost immediately
every single time I try to use 'scp' on conjunction with the ccrma box.
Any ideas what might be causing this, or advice to help troubleshoot?
