The onboard soundcard is your second card, most probably that is the
problem (try pointing qjackctl to "hw:1" instead of "hw:0" and see if
that fixes the problem). 

Try booting without the USB headset connected, or change the order of
the cards in the "System", "Administration", "Soundcard Detection"
panel, the second tab "Settings" lets you change the order of the
soundcards (you may have to reboot).
