I'm currently running on FC7 x86_64 and did not find the Cinelerra from
Fedora repository (?). How ever I have configured FreshRPMs repository
http://freshrpms.net/ that contains a version that I think is the
Cinelerra CVS. FreshRPMs should be fully compatible with Fedora and
CCRMA. At least I haven't had any problems with it (as long as I avoid
using Livna)

The FreshRPMs version seems to work at least for me. Although it seems
that I have to use the DV-camera as a monitor again (the frame rate in
composer window is under 20fps).

In the past I've used (with FC5) Cinelerra a bit. I have to say that
back then it was quite unstable and I had to use Kino for capturing and
exporting. However I was able to create a small 5 minutes DVD with it
(editing, some effects and separate audio tracks). I also tried a self
compiled version and managed to get near PAL frame rate (25) in composer
window with some configuration.

If you are looking for a video editor with Cinelerra editing
capabilities I don't know if there's any alternative (please let me know
if there is!-) However if you need really simple editor with great
capture / export capabilities I would suggest you use Kino (it's in the
Fedora repo)
