Hi Joe. I presume that you have got through the install. it took me 15+ goes
at that, with various crashes along the way. Then just the white screen of
death on reboot, where I expected to get the post config stuff. The problem
at this stage is that FC4 is not able to enable the driver for Trident video
cards. Don't ask me why, as FC1,2, and 3 had no problems.
Right. if this is your problem, here is the fix. I hope. Go to the following
link.

7 posts down, a post by EclipseAgent.
Boot up FC4. Get Grubs menu, type e on the kernel to boot, type e again on the
kernel, not the initrd.img. back space and get rid of rhgb quiet, and replace
with init 3 . Next "Enter", then type b. This should now boot up in text
mode. Then follow EclipseAgent's instructions for replacing the trident
driver with the vesa one. Enough for now. If you have have tried numerous
reboots, you have probably messed up the post install config stuff, so will
have to create a user. It may be worthwhile creating a user before using vi
to change the video card driver. Do the following .
adduser <username>
passwd <username>
enter password
enter password
If this works you should end up on rebooting with GDM asking for your user
name and password. All the best. Nigel.
