[PlanetCCRMA] frustrated with midi - finding no help

Yes... that previous output only had "midi" and "401" lines from
lsmod, because I am able to hear other sounds (wav) just fine.
It's only the midi sequencer that's giving me problems. Although,
as I said.. I CAN play midi files from fluidsynth... so it's not that
NO midi works... it's just that these apps (qsynth, muse, rosegarden)
are not able to start because they are finding some problem.

Here is the error output from these apps:

I find it interesting that I can play midi files from fluidsynth,
but qsynth fails.

I can also run seq24, loading a midi file and play/record
using that without any problem.

thanks,
David
