[PlanetCCRMA] CPU - smp kernel

I saw somewhere that if your processor is hyperthreading you should use
an smp kernel.  I am unable to determine for shure that my proc is
hyperthreading. cat /proc/cpuinfo has a line labled flags with the
initials ht in it.  The model name is " Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU
1500MHz".  Also can I get away with using the stock FC4 kernel instead
of using a ccrma one and still use music apps?  I'm not shure I want an
edge kernel.  Thanks .  HHB
