Try this: connect it to a jack output using QJackCtl. If this doesn't
help try messing around with the Edit/Preferences/FluidSynth tab.

Try this: left-click the soundfont in the tree. Right-click it and save.

Swami's context menu doesn't depend on the item under the mouse
pointer, but on the item selected. A bit counter-intuitive, if you ask
me.
