[PlanetCCRMA] Problem with alsconf;

Is this a case where somethign has changed befor ethis use?

1) If you change revisions of Alsa sometimes this changes

2) If you change sound card this ALWAYS changes.

The naming of controls within the Alsa drivers is NOT consistent from
card to card, so if you changed from your cnipci card to your sound
blaster card then almost certainly you need to remove
/etc/asound.state, rerun alsamixer for the new card and then do an
alsactl store to store the new info.

You can reduce the number of problems in this area by configuring your
system to use both cards even though you have only a single card
installed. See Fernando's examples on configuring for multiple cards
or write back for more info.

cheers,
Mark
