Hi Peter,
   When I load a wave file that plays. When I load an ogg file I get hiss.

   I guess you cannot even open an ogg file?

   The machine I'm on is not actually a PlanetCCRMA machine. I only
came to this list since the snd home page seems to be located at
CCRMA.
