[PlanetCCRMA] MIDI sequencer init problem (2.6.11-0.3.rdt.rhfc3.ccrma)

yeah.. I can see from
tail -f /var/log/messages
that the USB is disconnected and then connected when removing and 
inserting the USB plug

If I need to load the firmware, should I follow this year-old method:

http://usb-midi-fw.sourceforge.net/

looking at the makefile, it looks like it installs the usermap files in 
/etc/hotplug/usb
and
the firmware into: /usr/share/usb/midisport

But, these are different from Fernando's locations below:
