Interesting, looks like a bug in alsaplayer?. For those not looking at
my screen, I see the pattern singled out as "Mistake #1" in the bitscope
docs, which means the scaling from integers to floats prior to sending
stuff to jack is off by 1 (if I understand the meaning correctly). Nice
catch. 

Mark, did you _hear_ this first and then looked at bitscope? :-)
