Mike,

Sorry I don't have time to search for the actual reference however a
similar discussion came up on the Rosegarden mailing list. There were
some pointers to web sites with music created on Rosegarden, other open
source music. Some guys are planning on releasing a CD (I think it's
now multiple CDs) of open source created music.

Cheers,
Andrew

I suppose I'm like some of you all...with a love for audio engineering,
but also for music. But in all my time w/ linux audio, I haven't found a
good site with songs folks have composed with linux...with all of these
powerful tools available, I figured I'd find examples of them being put to
use. So either 1) I am a bad googler 2) People use open source resources

So, can anyone point me to some collection of linux-created works? Even a
homepage with drunken experiments. The tools work, I just want to look at
how others use them...explore the boundaries of possibility. I feel
horrible sending this to those who are 100% musician and/or 100%
programmer-extraordinaire. But, if there are enough people like me who
use these tools to record 1)themselves 2)their local band or 3)
bands/people they know who deserve to be recorded...I would like to start
a site with links because I believe that somewhere in a google search
should be "people who have utilized linux audio, and here's what it can
sound like...eat it!".

Of 1 million google pages which show problems/questions concerning the
hard work everyone has put into these projects, I think
at least one should show the amature possibilities which have resulted.

Again, sorry if this is misplaced,
