That seems to help.  At least I can now link Ardour
to MIDI in!  Thanks.

Either a Korg drum box, a GEM S3 or FL Studio on
Windows.  All of which send MMC and midi clock, but
none of which send MTC.

Ardour *does* seem to respond to MTC I send from MIDI-OX
on the Windows box.  And I should be able to get MIDI-OX
to do the MIDI clock -> MTC sync.
