[PlanetCCRMA] Fedora media?

I've been having trouble with reinstalling fedora 2 or 3 on a computer
--- I have used the same media to install on other systems, but on this
one, it hangs on "running /sbin/loader".  I've tried it with three
different cd drives;  no dice each time.  It boots the Knoppix live cd
a-ok... I wonder if there are more options I can send to the kernel than
just the ones they list.
