Thanks, I installed the 32bit FC3 version last night - all seems great 
and soooo much easier then setting up my Gentoo box for all the 
different software I wanted to use!  I would like to just say that I 
tried the 'edge' kernel too which did not work on my machine, it was 
booting - but increadably slowly, would have taken around an hour to 
boot if I had left it!  Couldn't really get any logs as a consiquience.  
My system is amd64 3000 in a Shuttle SN85G4 with a SATA drive.
