It depends on the mix of packages you have installed. When using
multiple repositories there is always the risk of incompatibilities. As
Axel remarked we try to be as complatible as possible but sometimes
problems happen. I had forgotten about this opne so in a sense it is my
fault that I have not included the obsoletes and provides statements in
older versions of alsa-lib (as provided by Planet CCRMA). That is
already in the planetedge versions for fc3 and will be in the upcoming
planetccore-core releases...
