[PlanetCCRMA] FC3 versus FC2 - experiences

i finally got it together re: compiling and installing of alsa from cvs ...

and on the latest edge kernel, things have been rocking along nicely all
day and night now - no kernel oops, no hanging, no xruns of a
significant nature (purely from launching/exiting jack clients), and
running for hours at a time under heavy load whether i'm using ardour,
rosegarden, muse, hydrogen, dssi-vst, jack_fst, fweelin, or some
combination of them.

Compiled on Apr 12 2005 for kernel 2.6.11-0.3.rdt.rhfc3.ccrma.

this is all with jack usually running at 256 frames, but i'd say it
could easily manage 128.
