Thank you in advance-
I'm having no luck getting JACK started. I have had it running under
the current stable kernel, but now that isn't working any longer. I
feel like something I had configured in the original install has been
changed during updates. kernel 2.6.10-2.1.11.rhfc2.ccrma. When I use
qjackctl I get the following output:
09:37:54.578 Patchbay deactivated.
09:37:55.064 Statistics reset.
09:37:55.305 MIDI connection graph change.
09:37:55.307 MIDI connection change.
09:38:30.520 Startup script...
09:38:30.521 artsshell -q terminate
09:38:31.529 Startup script terminated with exit status=256.
09:38:31.530 JACK is starting...
09:38:31.530 jackd-realtime -v -R -dalsa -dhw:0 -r44100 -p1024 -n2
09:38:31.537 Could not start JACK. Sorry.
09:38:56.493 JACK was stopped successfully.
my modprobe.conf:
alias eth0 e100
alias snd-card-0 snd-ice1712
install snd-ice1712 /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install snd-ice1712 &&
/usr/sbin/alsactl restore >/dev/null 2>&1 || :
remove snd-ice1712 { /usr/sbin/alsactl store >/dev/null 2>&1 || : ; };
/sbin/modprobe -r --ignore-remove snd-ice1712
alias usb-controller uhci-hcd
alias ieee1394-controller ohci1394
Starting MusE gives this error msg:
MusE failed to find a Jack audio server. Check that Jack was started.
If Jack was stared check that it was started as the same user as MusE.
Trying to use Jack Connection Kit:
jackstart: cannot get realtime capabilities, current capabilities are:
=ep cap_setpcap-ep
probably running under a kernel with capabilities disabled, a suitable
kernal would have printed something like "=eip"
I do have rtirq running at startup as well as 'rtload' which shows the
realtime kernel loaded with the following parameters:
Realtime kernel module is loaded, current parameters are:
any=1; gid=-1; mlock=1
Where do I start?
Bob
