/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/keys-eth1 is where the key should live.

ESSID is actually passed to the card from the access point. So as you
move around you can quesry this to see what network you are on. If you
dont hard code the ESSID it defaults to any and will pick up the
strongest signal around.
