Yes, I am pretty sure that this is a Intel i820-compatible sound card
using AC97 codec. Try using snd-intel8x0 modules.
I have always found that using motherboard-based soundcards is *always*
a hassel. Sometimes they only play, but don't record, or have trouble
with the sample rate, or some other nonsense, even with the propoer
dirvers. When doing workshops, I always ask the hosts to find at least
some cheap soundblaster clones, rather than work with such little
beasts. I might suggest the same to you. But for emergencies and backup,
it is always nice to have something there... ;-)
