Hi Rob,
Are you running FC1, RH9, or?
I'm running RH9 and using an RME 9652.
It occurs to me that Cinelerra may not have audio
import and convert capabilities so I need to confirm
that I've specified the correct bit depth for the
audio file that I'm trying to work with. Hmmm, that
doesn't seem to be the problem.
I'll experiment a little more later today.

Have you tried running as user = root with Audio
Playback Realtime selected in the preferences? That
might be worth a try.
