[PlanetCCRMA] ALSA configuration problem

I accidentally solved this problem myself.
The solution is simple and stupid: I just had to adjust also the
gnome-volume-control levels. 
I literally followed installation instructions and used alsamixer to adjust
volume level.
I thought that alsamixer is used as a substitute to gnome-volume-control.
Anyway now aplay works fine.

I decided to post this message even though it does not give very positive
picture about my knowledge and capabilities with Linux.
Maybe other newbies could avoid the same situation.
