[PlanetCCRMA] Alsa upgrade - unresolved symbols

Fernando,
   Following on from Kai's info about being able to run Jack on top of
snd-dummy in a machine with no sound card, I wanted to take group of
machines I have here in my lab at work that have no sound cards and install
as he suggested. The first thing I did was try to get them up to date with
the newest version of Alsa. Everything loaded, but I get these messages
about unresolved symbols.

   This machine was not particularly up to date in the first place. I
probably did this machine 6-8 weeks ago getting ready to work on this
project idea. Then you came out with the new revision of alsa. Don't know if
that's stranded me in some way. I would have hoped that the alsa update
steps would have loaded any other RPMs that were really required.

   Are these messages important? They did not happen on the two machines I
am actually using for audio work right now. Only on this one.

   Could they be influenced by what's in my /etc/modules.conf file? I tried
building that by hand to implement this idea, so it could be full of wrong
stuff.

   I may just try doing a an apt-get dist-upgrade just to see what happens.
If the machine has troubles, it's no big deal to rebuild it.
