I installed Ximian and it messed everything up.  I recommend not
touching Ximian if you ever want to install software on your computer
again.  It's nice for corporate users since they shouldn't be installing
stuff anyways.

It should be safe installing Ximian's Evolution.  I've done that and
it's fine.
