I have a Toshiba 6100 Pro laptop running Redhat 9 with all updates and
an external SB Extigy. I previously wrote that I was having problems
with Audacity crashing whenever you try to record.....sometimes it will
segfault on startup and other times it will actually start to record but
then segfaults when you press the stop button. Others said they weren't
having any problems with audacity. I have another system running Redhat
8 that uses a SB Live card and it doesn't crash with audacity. Now I'm
thinking that maybe the problem with audacity crashing is with the SB
Extigy. My question is, anyone else using a SB Extigy and if so, how do
you have it configured? Anyone else have a Toshiba 6100 laptop that is
using something else for their sound/recording. Anyone else using other
usb audio devices with Linux??

By the way, I've fallen in love with Kino and my sony digital camcorder
using firewire.
