[PlanetCCRMA] sound problems

It looks like you did all the right things. I just checked and it does not
look like the sound driver module has any user configurable options that
you could tweak. I'd say this is an alsa driver problem. Planet CCRMA uses
a snapshot of cvs and the current driver is a bit "old", maybe a newer cvs
version would work. I would post to the alsa-dev mailing list at
sourceforge with all details to see if somebody else has had this same
problem.

One more thing, anything unusual in /var/log/messages? Look at the boot 
sequence to see if there are any error messages that could be associated 
with the alsa drivers.
