[Grads] Graduate Audio Signal Processing (GASP) research group - Winter Edition!

Hello everyone, hope you all had a wonderful break and first week of Winter quarter!


If you haven’t already heard, GASP (the Graduate Audio Signal Processing group) is resuming tomorrow, Wednesday the 18th at 12:30, in the CCRMA seminar room! We meet weekly to talk about DSP topics and funny sounds that we’re researching and/or just interested in. This week we’re going to chat about some of the weird physics and challenges involved in modeling spring reverb effects! A lot of the discussion will be taken from topics in this paper<https://dafx2020.mdw.ac.at/proceedings/papers/DAFx20in21_paper_23.pdf>, but there’s no need to look at it beforehand.


We’ll also be talking about scheduling and plans for the rest of the quarter, so if you can’t make it tomorrow but you’re interested in GASP, let me know and I’ll add you to our informal mailing list.
