[Grads] Meet and greet with incoming students?

Hi all,

I just had a very nice chat with an incoming MA, and I realized as we were talking that a very important part of starting up at CCRMA is interfacing with current and continuing students to find out what courses might be interesting (both within and external to CCRMA), as well as getting to know general research areas and interest, which of course isn’t going to happen this year. I wonder if you all would be up for a Zoom next week specifically intended to introduce our new students to you all, and to provide a time for everyone to chat informally and get to know one another. I know Zoom isn’t the best platform for this, but it’s what we have…

If there’s a decent crew that is interested, I would propose to schedule it later in the week, either Wednesday or Thursday. What time of day would be good, or is our usual Weds 5:30 the best time for the most people? Let me know what you think.
