Thank you.  I see the sndscm.html#peakphasesdoc now, and that helps explain what the obsolete polyoid-partial-amps-and-phases gen was doing in the phase parameter of an oscillator.

Polywave is certainly a deep and fascinating area of Snd for synthesis.

Thanks for the bug report.  That example is obsolete;
polyoid is now a wrapper around polywave.  I didn't
notice it because it is commented out.  noid and polyoid
play games with initial phases -- they were part
of the minimum-peak-amplitude project (see
sndscm.html#peakphasesdoc).
