I installed snd from the tarball (on Debian 7.6 & Xfce):

This is Snd version 15.1 of 5-Nov-14:

    Sndlib 24.1 (10-Aug-14)
    CLM 6.5 (31-Oct-14) 
    without any graphics system <===
    Compiled Dec  1 2014 11:39:21
    C: 4.7.2
    Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 x86_64

How to add a graphics system?
